A Moroccan nurse, who worked at a clinic in Dubai, has accused her manager of «sexually harassing» her, Khaleej Times reports. The 23-year-old Moroccan nurse said that when she went to her manager's office to claim her unpaid salary she was assaulted. The woman told the court of First Instance in Dubai that «when [she] raised the matter with him, he suddenly got nervous. He came close to [her] from behind his desk». She told the public prosecution investigation that she pushed her 55-year-old Iraqi boss after he allegedly asked her to have sex with him. «He then slapped me on my face. I filed a complaint against him and later saw a doctor for a checkup», she said. The incident took place on December 17, 2018. The man in question denied all accusations and the complainant dropped the charges against him and «had it documented at a notary public's office», the newspaper said. However, the court decided to proceed with the trial. While the medical report, presented by the woman, revealed that she had nose pain and neck scratches because of the incident, a Sudanese nutritionist said that she did not see the manager assault the complainant. The accused had a similar criminal case. The trial is expected to reopen on June 9.
