The maneuvers led by the Polisario reflect its dismay and the dislocation of its ranks as a result of the successive victories accumulated by Morocco in defending its territorial integrity, said, Thursday in Rabat, minister delegate for Relations with Parliament and Civil Society, government spokesperson, Mustapha El Khalfi. Speaking at a press briefing following the weekly cabinet meeting, held under the chairmanship of the head of government, El Khalfi stressed that Morocco is now advancing with firm and assured steps in the defense and consolidation of its territorial integrity, and acts on the ground as part of a development model that has proven its worth and is bearing fruit. Anyone who visits the region observes the ongoing transformations and development projects, meant to create a new economic pole of the Kingdom, noted the minister. In parallel with these concrete achievements, which are part of a promising and forward-looking momentum of development, Morocco has made several political advances, whether at the level of the Kingdom's African policy and its strategic partnerships or at the level of the United Nations, he said. El Khalfi also underlined that the African Union is no longer an instrumentalized platform as it was in the past to provoke the Kingdom and harm its national cause. Within the AU framework, he went on ; Morocco now appears as a power alongside other leaders in defending the causes of Africa such as those relating to youth and migration.
