The Royal Navy arrested on Wednesday, November the 29th, 32 Moroccan migrants who were carried by three boats off Al Hoceima, a security source told EFE. The same source reported that a Royal Navy vessel transferred the migrants, who all live in Al Hoceima, to the Royal Gendarmerie, to identify them and find out who organized their attempt to illegally cross the Mediterranean. On Tuesday, the Royal Navy also arrested 103 migrants, including 92 from Morocco and 11 from sub-Saharan Africa, as they were trying to reach the Strait of Gibraltar and the Alboran Sea via small boats. On the same day, authorities rescued 262 people who were carried by five boats, including 22 women and 14 minors. For the record, several illegal migration networks operating in Morocco have been dismantled since the beginning of this year. The most recent operation took place in Berkane earlier this month, when the authorities arrested eight individuals who belonged to a criminal gang specialized in facilitating the entry of migrants to Spain.
