Nine people were arrested Thursday and Friday, December the 20th and 21st, by the Central Bureau of Judicial Investigation (BCIJ), in Marrakech, Essaouira, Sidi Bennour, Tangier and Chtouka Ait Baha for their alleged involvement in the killings of the two Scandinavian tourists, said the body in a communiqué sent Friday to Yabiladi. The arrest was based on the investigation currently carried by BCIJ to determine the reasons and circumstances surrounding the murders that took place near Imlil. The authorities managed to seize electronic equipment, an unlicensed hunting rifle, white weapons, pocket lamps, a binocular, a military outfit, laboratory glasses, as well as suspicious materials potentially used in the manufacturing of explosives. The suspects were held in custody concluded the same source. For the record, three of the nine arrestees appeared in a video shared online. Accompanied with the first suspect arrest Tuesday, the four men pledged allegiance to ISIS one week before the killings. Police said that the video has been authenticated.
