President of the autonomous city of Ceuta, Juan Jesus Vivas, wants to return unaccompanied minor migrants to Morocco, says EFE. He wants to strengthen collaboration with Morocco to limit the problems associated with unaccompanied minor migrants in the enclave. Speaking to reporters, Juan Jesus Vivas said that this case is at the heart of the government's agenda, adding that it is «primordial to boost collaboration means to prevent issues related to the presence of these minors in Ceuta». While other «very effective» immigration mechanisms have been implemented between Spain and Morocco, «the situation of Moroccan migrants remains an unsolved issue in Spain», insisted the official. He believes that «minor migrants must be at home with their families». This is not the first time that Juan Jesus Vivas voices such a request. On the 5th of September, during a round table on interterritorial co-ordination, he said that the «best solution» for Moroccan minors arriving in the enclave is sending them back to their country. For the record, in Ceuta, the minor migrants center «La Esperanza» welcomes more than 150 Moroccan children and teenagers.
