Two Muslim groups in the USA have launched a crowdfunding campaign to help the victims of the Pittsburgh shooting which took the lives of 11 people and injured six others on Saturday, 27th of October, says online newspaper the Hill. The American-Muslim community have managed to generate $111,757, a few thousand dollars less than the campaign's goal, $125.000. Hosted by LaunchGood, a crowdfunding platform, the campaign'smoney will used to «help with the immediate, short-term needs of the injured victims and grieving families - including funeral expenses and medical bills». «No amount of money will bring back their loved ones, but we do hope to lessen their burden in some way». CelebrateMercy and MPower Change For the record, 11 people were killed while others were injured by a man who opened fire on the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh's Squirrel Hill neighborhood, says the same source. The suspect was arrested and he has been charged on 29 counts.
