Miloudi Moukharik has been re-elected as the general secretary of the Moroccan Labor Union (UMT) for a fourth term during the union's 13th national congress, held on February 23–24 in Casablanca. As the sole candidate, he was reappointed by acclamation by the congress participants. In his speech, Moukharik reaffirmed the UMT's commitment to defending workers' rights and strengthening social dialogue. He emphasized the importance of preserving social gains and improving working conditions amid significant economic and social changes. Founded in 1955, the UMT is one of the country's leading labor unions, playing a key role in representing workers. This new term is expected to be strategic as the union navigates negotiations with the government and employers, while addressing the growing demands of the workforce.
