Morocco has set a new record with 1.2 million tourist arrivals in January, marking a 27% increase compared to the same month in 2024, according to the Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts and Social and Solidarity Economy. «Morocco is continuing its momentum at the start of 2025, surpassing the symbolic milestone of one million tourists in January for the first time. With 1.2 million visitors, the destination achieved a remarkable 27% increase compared to January 2024, welcoming 272,000 additional tourists,» stated the Ministry in a press release. This achievement highlights Morocco's growing appeal as a tourist destination and underscores the effectiveness of strategic initiatives implemented in recent years, further solidifying the Kingdom's standing on the global tourism stage, the release noted. Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts and Social and Solidarity Economy, Fatim-Zahra Ammor, is quoted in the release, saying, «This all-time record of over one million tourists in January establishes Morocco as a true four-season destination.» «This emerging trend is the concrete expression of a major qualitative objective in our roadmap, which rightly places experience at the heart of the offer, to enable tourists to discover authentic experiences across the Kingdom's seasons and regions,» she added.
