Four young Moroccans were killed in a road accident on Wednesday on the M-50 motorway in the Madrid region, local authorities said. Three people, aged between 20 and 23, died at the crash site, while the fourth victim, seriously injured, succumbed on Thursday to his injuries at the hospital, sources from Madrid emergency services said. The accident occurred early on Wednesday when the car carrying the victims deviated from its lane on the M-50 motorway at kilometer 37. The Consulate General of Morocco in Madrid is carrying out the procedures necessary for the repatriation of the bodies of the victims to Morocco, sources from the Consulate said. An investigation was opened by the Spanish Civil Guard to determine the causes of the accident. According to the preliminary investigation published by the Spanish press, this fatal accident was due to excessive speeding.
