Three men were killed, Tuesday, after a zinc and lead mine collapsed in Jerada, reports MAP news agency quoting local authorities in the city. The bodies of the deceased were recovered, says the same source. Three other people were injured in the same incident, which occurred in the Ras Ousfour commune. In less than a week, the Jerada mines killed five people. On Sunday, a man in his forties succumbed to his injuries after an abandoned coal mine collapsed in the city. The accident came after an 18-year-old man died in similar circumstances. For the record, the city of Jerada has witnessed a wave of protests since December 2017, after two brothers died when working in abandoned mines.
