Air Arabia is launching a new line linking Marrakesh and London Gatwick airports. The air line will be operational starting from November the 1st and aims to promote the city, indicates Zone Bourse. The airline is thus expanding its offer to Britain, «one of the main basins issuing tourists in Europe,» said the same source. Two flights a week will be offered each week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Adel Ali, the chairman of the Air Arabia group, said: «The opening of a line between Marrakesh and London Gatwick will undoubtedly contribute to the development of tourism in Morocco». «By strengthening our connections with Great Britain, we will also improve our offer and better respond to the needs and expectations of our passengers, be it business tourism or leisure tourism.» Air Arabia already serves the British capital from Tangiers and Fez. London is thus the sixth destination proposed by the low cost airline departing from Marrakech. Pau, Montpellier, Frankfurt, Fez and Paris - operating from 31 October - are part of the offer from the city by the same company.
