After a few months of delay, the Airbus A380 of Emirates Airlines will launch its first trip finally linking Casablanca to Dubai. The Moroccan Airport Authority did not give the green light to the Emirati group in last November due to some technical issues and infrastructure constraints related to Mohammed V airport. Emirates, voted World's Best Airline in the 2016 Skytrax World Airline Awards, will offer a daily round trip to and from Casablanca. Casablanca, as a result, will be the first North African city to host a regular Airbus A380 service. According to Traveller 24, the aircraft will provide the passengers with "14 private suites in First Class, 76 lie flat seats in Business Class and 401 seats in the spacious Economy Class cabin". The three classes in general will give room for 491 seats in a transportation capacity of 982 passengers per day. The arrival of the A380 flight was attended by local senior officials. On board, the flight carried an Emirati delegation of distinguished senior Emirati officials headed by Orhan Abbas, the company's Vice-president of commercial operations for Africa. "After 15 years of successful and continuous work on the Casablanca-Dubai line, it is very fitting to introduce the emblematic A380 to Morocco. This new service will reinforce the long-standing tourism and commercial relations between the United Arab Emirates and Morocco" claimed Orhan Abbas during the inauguration of the A380 service launching.
