Several dams across Morocco have seen a significant rise in water levels following recent rainfall, marking an improvement in water resources over the past 24 hours, according to the Maadialna platform of the Ministry of Equipment and Water. This increase comes at a crucial time, as dams play a vital role in supplying water for irrigation, drinking, and various other sectors. Among the dams that recorded notable increases, the Oued El Makhazine Dam saw its water level rise by approximately 12.5 million cubic meters, bringing its current fill level to 71%. The Al Wahda Dam experienced the largest rise, gaining 13.3 million cubic meters, with its fill level now at 38.8%. The Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah Dam recorded an increase of 11.8 million cubic meters, raising its fill level to 44.3%. Meanwhile, the Ahmed El Hansali Dam received an additional 5.7 million cubic meters, bringing its fill level to 7.6%. On the other hand, the Bin El Ouidane Dam saw an increase of 4.7 million cubic meters, but its fill level remains low at 6.4%. The Dar Khroufa Dam gained 2.7 million cubic meters, bringing its fill level to 13.4%.
