Royal Air Maroc Cargo has officially reestablished a strategic link between China and Morocco with three weekly flights using Boeing 787-9 aircraft connecting Casablanca to Beijing Daxing Airport. This service, operational since January 20, 2025, allows for the transport of approximately 30 tons of freight per trip. Thanks to its Casablanca hub, the Moroccan airline has also opened a logistics corridor between China and Brazil via its new route to São Paulo (GRU). «Our new route from China's largest airport offers an efficient connection for goods destined for Africa, as well as a direct link to Brazil», stated Yassine Berrada, Vice President of Cargo at Royal Air Maroc. Before the pandemic, the airline already maintained strong commercial ties with the Chinese market. This return to Beijing is part of an expansion strategy, with ambitions to open routes to other major Chinese cities, such as Shanghai and Guangzhou. The demand for freight between China and Africa is growing rapidly, driven by exports of integrated circuits, metals, textiles, and agricultural products. In China, Royal Air Maroc is represented by Globe Air Cargo China, a subsidiary of the ECS Group, which ensures flight capacity is filled and optimizes the management of flows using advanced digital tools.
