Morocco will be the guest of honor at the 23rd edition of the «IMEX» exhibition in Madrid, which will be held on February 19 and 20, as announced by the organizers of this event dedicated to international business, foreign trade, and investments. The «IMEX Madrid» exhibition highlighted on its website that Morocco, as the guest of honor, will benefit from a significant presence to promote its economic potential and investment dynamism, especially in key sectors such as energy, industry, and technology. The same source explained that the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region, which will represent the Kingdom at this exhibition, will participate with a pavilion that highlights its offerings and the measures it has adopted to stimulate investment. As part of this event, the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima Regional Investment Center, in collaboration with the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Tangier, will organize a «Doing Business» event, which is a dialogue space where the economic, industrial, and logistical potentials of the region will be showcased. The exhibition published a promotional poster for the event on its website, featuring a complete map of Morocco, which is expected to provoke the ire of supporters of the Polisario Front in the Iberian Kingdom. In March 2022, Spain decided to change its position on the Sahara conflict, considering the Moroccan autonomy initiative as the most serious, realistic, and credible basis for resolving the Sahara dispute. The «IMEX Madrid» exhibition, which will be held at the Palace of Cibeles in the Spanish capital, will bring together professionals in the foreign trade and finance sector from 66 countries.
