In a new twist to the disappearance of two Moroccan schoolgirls in London, where they had been staying since January 25 as part of an school exchange program, the incident may take on a political dimension. Douae, 14, and Houda, 15, were last seen on Tuesday, January 28, around 8:30 p.m., leaving their hotel in Tavistock Place, in the heart of the British capital. What initially seemed like a distressing news story could now evolve into a politically charged situation. According to sources, the disappearance was a planned operation orchestrated by elements linked to the Polisario Front, which is actively present in Europe, particularly in the UK. These groups aim to exploit the situation for subversive purposes, amid the ongoing tensions related to the Sahara dispute. Notably, Douae hails from the Saharan provinces. This incident echoes similar occurrences in 2023, when four Moroccan students vanished in London during an exchange program. Two of them remain missing and are allegedly being exploited by Polisario operatives in Europe. These groups are reportedly manipulating British asylum procedures, presenting these minors as «victims» in need of international protection, a tactic that Rabat has consistently condemned.
