The success of Moroccan football and the significant strides made by Morocco in sports are a testament to the visionary leadership of King Mohammed VI, said Patrice Motsepe, President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), on Wednesday in Johannesburg. «This success is also the result of tireless efforts by the government and the Royal Moroccan Football Federation to develop this promising sector and boost the Kingdom's and its teams' influence not only across Africa but around the world», Motsepe told MAP on the sidelines of a signing ceremony marking the renewal of the strategic partnership between CAF and Africa Global Logistics (AGL), a key logistics player on the continent. Motsepe shared his pride in the feedback he received during his recent visit to Morocco for the U17 Africa Cup of Nations final, where the Atlas Cubs clinched the continental title. «During our visit to several stadiums in Morocco, the CAF delegation was impressed by the quality of the high-level sports infrastructure», he said, also commending Morocco's achievements in modernizing sports facilities, improving accessibility, and advancing overall sports development. At the same signing ceremony, Motsepe also praised the Atlas Lions' historic performance at the Qatar World Cup—as the first African and Arab team to reach the semi-finals—along with the accomplishments of the U17 squad and other Moroccan national teams. «At CAF, we are proud of Morocco's remarkable achievements in sports, and football in particular», he said, adding, «The Kingdom's success is also a success for all of Africa». CAF has officially renewed its partnership with Africa Global Logistics, naming AGL as the official logistics partner of African football. «The renewal of our partnership reflects our strong, shared commitment to advancing football across Africa», Motsepe said.
