The General Directorate of Civil Aviation (DGAC), affiliated to the Ministry of Tourism, Crafts, Air Transport and Social Economy announced on Friday a new set of procedures for Moroccans stranded abroad wanting to enter the national territory. In a note addressed to airlines, the DGAC indicates that the new procedure has been validated by the competent Moroccan services and will be implemented starting from Saturday, May 8. Passengers will have to present a number of documents at check-in for the flight. This includes a declaration on honor in accordance with a predefined model, a negative PCR test of less than 48 hours, the authorization to leave Moroccan national territory issued by the Ministry of the Interior (Prefecture or Province) as well as proof of a confirmed hotel reservation (payment receipt). Note de la DGAC relative au... by Yabiladi This must be done in hotel structures designated by local authorities: 3-star Onomo and 4-star Atlas hotels for Nouaceur, 4-star Onomo located on Boulevard Al Massira (Anfa, Casablanca), 3-star Ibis - Center near Casa-Port (Anfa, Casablaca), 3-star Ibis hotel located on Boulevard Abdelmoumen (Anfa, Casablanca) and the 3-star Delta Atlas hotel located on Boulevard Mohammed V (Anfa, Casablanca). As for airlines, the note explains, they are invited to «ensure that the documents presented by the passenger at the time of purchase of the ticket and at the time of registration and boarding to the airport of Casablanca Mohammed V are consistent with those stated». The companies must also «send the list of passengers concerned by this procedure to your representation at Casablanca Mohammed V airport before the flight departs, to ensure their routing through the Airport Management to the Health, to the local authorities of Nouaceur and to the Border Police», reads the same document.
