The central Bureau of judicial investigations (BCIJ) under the general Directorate of territorial surveillance arrested, on Tuesday, an extremist supporter of ISIS «Daesh» operating in Salé (Rabat twin city). Security investigations revealed that the 33-year-old suspect was spreading propaganda and advocating the extremist ideology of the so-called «Islamic State» organization through social applications and networks, in order to serve the agenda of «Daesh», while inciting terrorist acts in the name of this terror group according to the «Lone Wolves» method of operation, the BCIJ said in a statement. The individual also released recordings explaining the methods of making explosives and explosive belts, the statement added. The investigations also revealed that the suspect, who was preparing to carry on a suicide attack in the Kingdom, was in contact with «Daesh» media leaders and their supporters abroad. The operation, which is part of the ongoing efforts to address the terrorist threat, resulted in the seizure of several electronic devices, mobile phones and knives, according to the same source. The suspect will be brought to justice once the investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent prosecutor's office has been completed, the statement concluded.
