American Airlines and Royal Air Maroc (RAM) have filed for a codeshare agreement in an attempt to «sell one another's tickets and book passage on the two airlines with one itinerary», Dallas News said on Wednesday. This agreement, filed for last week, comes as the Moroccan national carrier is planning to enter American Airlines' Oneworld alliance, which aims at being the first choice airline alliance for the world's frequent international travelers. Meanwhile, American Airlines is launching soon a flight from Philadelphia to Casablanca. «Our goal is to offer customers additional options to reach more destinations in Africa like Marrakesh, Accra and Lagos», American Airlines spokeswoman Nichelle Tait said. «We look forward to taking this next step in our partnership», she added.
