Customs officers seized, Wednesday morning in the northern city of Tetouan, 1,925 Kg of cannabis resin, worth 19.25 million dirhams, says a customs source. The seizure of this «significant quantity» was made through an ambush on the Tetouan-Chefchaouen road, precisely in Al-Hamra municipality, said Hamid Hosni, an official at the customs administration. He added that the drugs, prepared in packet form, were seized on-board a commercial vehicle with cloned registration plates. The competent public prosecutor's office was informed of the operation, and ordered the case to be handed over to the competent judicial authority for further investigation.
