The Ceuta government has once again called for the regularization of Moroccan domestic workers, who cross the border daily, reports on Saturday the Spanish press agency Europa Press. It was declared that the procedures must be carried out by the inhabitants of the city using «cross-border domestic employees». And added that only 1 300 are reported, barely a third of the total figure. This fact was denounced by the Association for Human Rights in Andalusia (APDHA), in its report entitled «Domestic Workers in Ceuta», made public on the 20th of December. Indeed, the association denounced the exploitation of a workforce «paid below the legal minimum wage» and who, generally, does not have a work contract.
