Moroccan star Saad Lamjarred, who has been in police custody since Sunday for allegedly raping a French woman, will be brought before the prosecutor in Saint-Tropez on Tuesday, reports local online newspaper Nice Matin on Monday. According to the same source, the alleged victim is believed to be a 28-year-old seasonal worker, who met Lamjarred in Ermitage hotel, where the incident took place. The 33-year-old singer was arrested on Sunday morning after the above-mentioned woman filed a complaint, accusing him of allegedly «raping» her. After spending one day in the Saint-Tropez's police station, the star's custody was extended, Monday, to 24 additional hours. It is not the first time that Lamjarred receives similar accusations. In October 2016, the singer was arrested in Paris for allegedly «raping» and sexually assaulting a 20-year-old woman. Awaiting trial, Saad Lamjarred stayed in prison until April 2017, when he was released by the Paris Court of Appeal on the condition of wearing an electronic bracelet. In March, he was authorized to travel to Morocco to promote his song «Ghazali Ghazali». For the record, Lamjarred was indicted for rape on April 11 after a French-Moroccan woman claimed that he has beaten her in Casablanca in 2015. He faces the same charges in the United States, following a case that dates back to 2010.
