A Moroccan-Belgian woman has claimed that she has been in a relationship with Swiss scholar Tariq Ramadan for five years, Europe 1 reported on Thursday. The woman identified as Majda Bernoussi says she was one of Ramadan's victims from 2009 to 2014. She stresses that she has been under psychological influence of the famous lecturer and reveals she has accepted his «financial support to keep quiet», says the same source. «We are really dealing with a predator, an extremely unhealthy manipulator, which is contradictory to the image he has built to trick people», she told the same source. Ramadan who is currently under custody for alleged rape has not reacted yet to Bernoussi's accusations. However, the man has denied all previous allegations saying it is a campaign led to destroy his career. For the record, Swiss academic was detained by French police on 31st of January for having allegedly raped two women. Ramadan was summoned for a questioning to a Paris police station and was put into custody «as part of a preliminary inquiry in Paris into rape and assault allegations». Multiple women came out after Ramadan's arrest claiming that they have been allegedly raped and sexually assaulted by the writer. Unlike other women involved in the viral case, Bernoussi does not talk about violence. She says that she left him when she realized that he was happy to see her suffer. Ramadan proposed to give her 27 000 Euros when Bernoussi started talking about their alleged relationship to her entourage, journalists and friends. She says that at least «25 women have» spoken to her saying that they have experienced the same thing as her. For the record, two women lodged rape complaints against the 55-year-old Islamist in October 2017, accusing him of raping them in a hotel room. He denied utterly the accusations writing on his Facebook «these accusations are simply false, and betray all the ideas I have long strived for and believed in».
