The national judiciary police squad, in close coordination with services of the directorate general of national territory surveillance, arrested on Sunday two Dutch brothers of Moroccan origin for their alleged direct links with members of the criminal network that executed or contributed to the execution of the first-degree murder with the firearm, which took place at the «La Crème» café in Marrakech in November 2017. According to a statement from the national police (DGSN), the arrest of the two suspects, who are the brothers of the main and direct instigator of the execution of these criminal acts, took place in two separate homes in a village on the national road between the city of Al Hoceima and Oued Laou, under the international arrest warrant and the national search warrant issued against them for their alleged involvement in this case. The investigations and search enabled to determine the direct involvement of the two accused and their participation in this voluntary manslaughter, which was perpetrated by order of their brother who lives outside the national territory, within the framework of settlement of old scores between international drug trafficking networks, by providing equipment, material and logistics for the two foreign citizens who were tasked with the execution of these criminal acts, said the statement. The search operation by the security services at the houses of the two suspects led to the seizure of sums of money, cell phones, computer storage media and luxury car documents that were used by the two arrested individuals, said the DGSN. The two suspects were remanded in police custody to conduct the investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office, said the statement, noting that the investigations are under way at the national level, and international security procedures are ongoing to arrest the main instigator behind this crime.
