Spanish Foreign Minister Alfonso Dastis is expected to visit Morocco on Wednesday to meet his counterpart, Nasser Bourita, says Europe Press. The two leaders will discuss issues of common interest, including trade, migration policies and the fight against terrorism. Relations between the two countries «are doing well», diplomatic sources said, adding that Alfonso Dastis' visit intends to respond to Nasser Bourita's visit on May 3, 2017 in Spain - his first official trip as minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation to Spain. Responding to the «particularly remarkable development» of commercial ties with Morocco since 2012, Spain has always maintained its position as the kingdom's leading trading partner. Trade with Morocco is also very important for the Iberian country. In total, 35% of Moroccan imports from the European Union come from Spain. The Spanish government finally said that Alfonso Dastis' visit to Morocco is intended to open other trade routes in Africa.
