Four people, three minors and a 20-year-old man, were arrested in Italy for alleged rape in Rimini, a popular seaside resort southern Bologna, Belga news agency reports today. The group is suspected of having assaulted a couple of Polish tourists on the 26th of August. They allegedly assaulted the young man and then raped his partner. Secondly, they also allegedly raped a transgender prostitute of Peruvian origin. This Saturday, two brothers of Moroccan origin have admitted their deeds to the police. According to local media, they «could no longer bear the weight ... of their dramatic and violent actions,» said the Rimini police chief. The two suspects are aged 15 and 16 and helped the police to find the group leader, a 20-year-old man from Congo. Palmiro Ucchielli, the mayor of Vallefoglia, the city where the Moroccan suspects live, told the Italian online newspaper Il Giornale : «The mother refused 20,000 Euros and the father, already expelled, managed to return to Italy.» The Italian State had allocated the sum of money for the repatriation of the family. Only the father left to Morocco. According to Italian law, the repatriation of minor children can only be effective if both parents agree. The two Moroccan brothers are known in Vallefoglia, since their secondary studies. One of their professors told the same source: «They were left to their own devices. (...) They had a lot of potential but their family conditions penalized them.»
