A Ryanair flight from Manchester to Agadir experienced a technical issue shortly after takeoff on Sunday, 16 March, causing the aircraft to circle the air for nearly an hour before returning to Manchester, reports The Independent. Flight RK1266, which took off just after 4 pm, flew over Wigan and the Merseyside area multiple times before heading back to the airport, landing around 5 pm. The Boeing 737 never left the UK during the hour it spent in the air. Upon its return to Manchester, the plane was met by fire crews on the runway. Passengers were offered a replacement aircraft, which departed for Agadir at 7:05 pm and arrived at 10:30 pm. A Ryanair spokesperson confirmed that the return was due to a minor technical issue, apologized for any inconvenience, and reassured passengers that the airline had quickly arranged a replacement flight.
