A direct flight between Marrakech and Atlanta is set to launch in October 2025. Operated by Delta Air Lines on a Boeing 767-400 with 238 seats, the service will run three times a week, marking a new milestone in Morocco's efforts to strengthen connectivity with the United States, according to a statement from the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT). This will be the second direct connection between the two countries in just two years, the statement noted, adding that the route will facilitate access to Morocco and boost its appeal in the North American market. Atlanta is the world's largest hub and a key gateway to the United States, offering connections to 125 cities across the country. Delta Air Lines, the oldest operating airline in the U.S. and one of the most respected globally, will operate the route. The ONMT emphasized that this strategic partnership with Delta Air Lines will attract a significant flow of travelers to Morocco, driving tourism growth and strengthening ties between the two countries. According to ONMT, this is Delta's first direct point-to-point connection to Morocco and North Africa as a whole. With this addition, Marrakech will now be linked to three major North American hubs: Montreal via Air Transat, New York via United Airlines, and Atlanta via Delta Air Lines. The goal is to further establish Morocco as a top destination in this market, which includes nearly 125 million travelers. In 2024, Morocco welcomed 402,377 American tourists, a 7% increase from 2023. In January 2025 alone, arrivals reached 26,777—a 31% jump. Ultimately, the aim is to surpass the milestone of one million American tourists visiting Morocco.
