The Public Prosecutor's Office at the Ain Sebaa Preliminary Criminal Court in Casablanca decided on Friday to prosecute rapper Ihab Iqbal, known by his stage name «Hliwa», under conditional release after he posted bail of 5,000 dirhams. «Hliwa» is facing charges for publishing and distributing audiovisual content on social media containing phrases deemed obscene. On Thursday, the Public Prosecutor's Office ordered the artist to be placed under custody as part of a preliminary investigation following his appearance before the judicial police in Casablanca. According to media sources, «Hliwa» was questioned in connection with a post he made about French President Emmanuel Macron.
