On Monday, a Royal Navy patrol boat intercepted an inflatable vessel carrying 41 migrants approximately 118 kilometers northwest of the port of Tan-Tan. The group, of sub-Saharan origin, was attempting to reach the Canary Islands, according to a statement from the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces. The migrants received first aid on board the patrol boat before being safely transported back to the Port of Tan-Tan. Upon arrival, they were handed over to the Royal Gendarmerie for the standard administrative procedures, as noted by the same source.
