Moroccan influencer Nordin Workout has been arrested in Leganés, near Madrid. The operation was a collaborative effort between Spain's Guardia Civil and Morocco's Direction Générale de la Surveillance du Territoire (DGST). Nordin, who boasts a following of over 100,000 on social media, is accused of jihadist indoctrination and inciting violence through his video content, as reported by La Gaceta. Behind the seemingly innocuous facade of content focused on physical training and self-defense, Nordin was allegedly disseminating extremist messages. His videos reportedly featured religious chants and made references to the Daesh terrorist organization. Investigators claim that his content subtly promoted jihadist ideology, specifically targeting a young and impressionable audience. This arrest is part of a broader series of operations aimed at curbing online radicalization in Spain. Authorities have detained seven individuals across various regions, with some already remanded in custody. The Spanish and Moroccan governments are intensifying their efforts to combat digital propaganda, which poses an increasing threat.
