Belgium has reiterated its commitment to the strategic partnership between the European Union and Morocco and its intention to continue deepening the relationship. In a statement on X, the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation reaffirmed its attachment to the friendship and strategic partnership between the EU and Morocco, following the European Court of Justice's (ECJ) decision on the fisheries and agricultural agreements. Belgium expressed its support for the joint statement by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and EU High Representative Josep Borrell, reaffirming the EU's commitment to preserving and strengthening its close relations with Morocco in all areas, in line with the pacta sunt servanda principle.
