In Tangier, an investigation into drug trafficking led the police to discover the body of a grocer who had been missing for six years, «embedded in a wall of his own home in Tanja Balia», reports Le360. On Sunday evening, around 10:30 pm, the accused were brought before the Tangier public prosecutor and then before the investigating judge. They are a mother and her five children. The accused family is charged with torture resulting in death, complicity, and failure to report a crime, and drug trafficking. They are being held in local prisons in Asilah and Tangier. This grim discovery, dated Saturday, June 1, follows an investigation into a drug case involving the family of the deceased. Last Thursday, police arrested relatives in possession of large quantities of drugs, including 4,331 ecstasy pills, 290 grams of heroin, cocaine and 52 bottles of anesthetic gas. According to initial investigations, the father, angered by his son's illegal activities and his wife's witchcraft practices, became a target for them. One evening, the situation escalated into a violent confrontation during which he was brutally tortured, murdered, and «encased in cement» by his own family. For six years, the family showed no signs of guilt, deceiving neighbors and authorities with fictional stories. The contrast between their impeccable facade and the sinister secrets they hid proved particularly disturbing to the entire neighborhood.
