The Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations (BCIJ), under the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance, arrested on Tuesday two individuals affiliated to «Daesh» operating in Ait Melloul and the Oulad Berhil commune near Taroudant. The arrest of these individuals, aged between 23 and 29 years, is part of ongoing efforts to combat terrorist threats to the security and stability of the Kingdom, said the BCIJ in a statement. Initial searches and investigations revealed that the two suspects have pledged allegiance to the so-called emir of this terrorist organization with a view to joining terrorist projects in the Kingdom, targeting vital institutions and security elements, the same source added. The two suspects were placed in custody to complete the judicial investigation conducted under the supervision of the prosecutor's office in charge of terrorism, to clarify the circumstances of their involvement in the preparation of these criminal acts and determine the ramifications and possible links of individuals arrested, the BCIJ concluded.
