The Central Bureau for Judicial Investigations (BCIJ) dismantled, on Monday, a pro-ISIS terror cell of four people aged between 23 and 51, said the ministry of interior. This security operation led to the seizure of electronic devices, bladed weapons, a military trellis, several manuscripts proving the adherence of the suspects to ISIS ideology, including a text of allegiance to the former self-proclaimed caliph, a picture representing the flag of this movement and publications promoting violence and suicide operations, the source added in a release. Initial investigations have revealed that the leader of this terrorist cell, who was arrested in 2014 for terror charges following the dismantling of another terrorist cell which used to recruit fighters and send them to Syria and Iraq, had recruited the members of his cell who share the same extremist thought and had planned with them to carry out terrorist acts aimed at undermining security and public order. This security operation shows once again the terrorist threats facing the Kingdom, as well as the insistence of supporters of extremist thought, particularly those affiliated to ISIS, to carry out terrorist operations. The suspects were placed on custody pending the end of investigations before being brought to justice.
