The prefectural service of the Agadir judicial police managed, in the early hours of Saturday, to foil an international drug trafficking operation, which resulted in the seizure of two tons and 230 Kg of chira. This large-scale operation took place in one of Agadir's residential neighborhoods, according to a statement by the national police (DGSN), stating that a truck loaded with the seized drugs, concealed in 112 packages, was intercepted. In addition, three suspects, aged 50 and 57, were arrested, while search operations carried out in connection with the case led to the seizure of a car, another truck and 14 mobile phones, the statement added. The suspects have been placed in police custody to complete investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office with a view to determining the possible links of the arrested persons with criminal networks, said the same source.
