The Public Prosecutor in Rabat's appeal court announced in a communiqué issued Wednesday, December the 14th, that one of the suspects allegedly involved in the murder of the two Scandinavian tourists «belongs to a terrorist group». The same statement indicated that the other suspects allegedly involved in the crime has been identified by investigators and that they are still on the run. The Public Prosecutor's office stressed that a video that contains graphic and disturbing content and which was shared on social media allegedly depicting the criminal events is being currently investigated by the authorities. The same source informed that the results of the investigation conducted on said video will be announced upon conclusion. For the record, the bodies of the two Scandinavian women were found dead Monday, December the 17th, near Imlil with cuts to their necks. The investigation launched on the same day helped arresting the first suspect in Marrakech. He is currently in custody under the supervision of the Public Prosecutor's office. The bodies of the Danish and Norwegian women, who went hiking on a Christmas vacation, were found inside their tent by French mountaineers who called the police afterwards.
