The first complaint filed by a Moroccan girl for sexual harassment might be withdrawn, reported EFE on Monday. In fact, the 18-year-old woman reportedly withdrew its complaint which would not be brought before the court of first instance. The same source indicates that the victim and the family of the alleged harasser have reached a settlement. The man she is accusing of sexually harassing her is a 66-year-old visual artist from an influential family in Fes. He was released after spending at least ten days in pre-trial detention. The alleged harassment took place on September the 15th, when the man allegedly touched the victim's chest, says EFE. For the record, bill 103.13 on combating violence against women was passed on September the 12th.
