Moroccan-Dutch attacking midfielder Hakim Ziyech was named on Monday, 3rd of September, the best Dutch footballer of the year and won the Gouden Schoen award (Golden Boot), announced Football 24/7 on Twitter. He is a «piece of jewelry for Dutch football», said Ajax Coach Eric ten Hag after the annual ceremony, quoted by Dutch online newspaper Voetbalprimeur. «I think he plays for a good team, with lots of good footballers, it is wonderful and motivating to see him achieve this» he added. The 25-year-old footballer participated to the 2018 World Cup in Russia alongside the Atlas Lions. Ziyech debuted his career as a senior footballer with Heerenveen club in 2012, in the Netherlands. He later joined FC Twente in 2014 for a four-year contract. In 2016, Hakim Ziyech started playing for Ajax after signing a five-year deal that was expected to last till 2021.
