Casablanca celebrating the victory. Wydad won the African Champions League title by defeating Al Ahly of Egypt. Al Wydad Atlethic Club, a Moroccan football club based in Casablanca has won the Africa CAF Champions League Final held on Saturday 4th of November in Casablanca. The Casablanca red team secured its first CAF Champions League win since 1992 by scoring 2 aggregated goals in the two football matches against Al Ahly. Walid El Karti, who plays as an attacking midfielder for the Wydad managed to put his team ahead against Al Ahly Sporting Club. The Moroccan team won all six home matches en route to the final, including a 1-0 victory over defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa. Celebration By the end of the long-awaited match between the two African clubs, Wydad and Al Ahly, celebration began in the city of Casablanca. It was a night without sleep for the Wydad supporters. Other Moroccan cities have also expressed their happiness and support to the Casablanca football club. Others from the Moroccan community in Paris where there also to congratulate and celebrate the victory accompanied by Moroccan musicians near the Arc de Triomphe.
