Fashion professionals, who took part of the 2017 London Fashion Week (LFW), were seduced this weekend by the beauty of the Moroccan caftan, the richness of the gastronomy and music of the Kingdom. During a nationally organized cultural event on the 16th and 17th of September in London, guests, including members of the Moroccan community in England, were dazzled by the caftan , a symbol of the Moroccan elegance and designs. Named «Stories from Morocco», this artistic event, marked by the presence of the Ambassador of Morocco to the United Kingdom Abdesselam Aboudrar, accompanied by his wife Saloua Larhrissi and Consul General Abderrahim Beyyoudh, to appreciate collections of traditional and modern caftans, signed by famous stylists. According to the opinion of several English and European stylists, the organization of the London Caftan Show together with the London Fashion Week is «a good idea» because it gives more visibility to the Moroccan caftan. Supported by Attijariwafa Bank and BMCE, this event aims to promote Morocco as a destination and the traditional clothing heritage of the country, to make the caftan known to the British and to strengthen the Moroccan-British friendship.
