Moroccan cuisine chef Moha Fedal has been awarded Wednesday evening in Washington, D.C. The jury prize of the ninth edition of the culinary competition «DC Embassy Chef Challenge». The Moroccan participation to the event has been particularly and noted distinguished, and attended by Kingdom's ambassador to the USA, Lalla Joumala Alaoui. Moha Fedal, assisted by Moroccan culinary art rising star Faiçal Zahraoui, managed to impress the jury with a gourmet dish based on the Marrakchi tanjia. In a declaration to MAP news agency, Chef Fedal said he was honored to have represented Morocco during this high-end gastronomic competition. To him, his participation aimed to make the American public know the richness and flavor of the Moroccan cuisine. «Moroccan cuisine has always been recognized for its richness and its great qualities which make it competitive at a global level». Organised at the prestigious Ronald Reagan Building by «DC Events», this culinary contest is used as a platform for culinary chefs from different countries to introduce the nature and the diversity of the gastronomy of their respective countries to the public. Some of the other countries represented in this culinary event are Saudi Arabia, Dominican Republic, Indonesia, Afghanistan, Ghana, Germany, Qatar, South Korea, Tunisia, Pakistan, Iraq, Bolivia, Haiti, Guatemala, Chile, Peru, Nepal and Belgium.
