Speaking to the BBC sport, the current president of the Nigeria Football Federation Amaju Pinnick stated that Morocco will set a bid to host the 2026 World cup joining the USA, Canada and Mexico. «I've been told Morocco wants to put in its bid and Caf will support them 100%,» the Nigerian official indicated. According to him, Morocco is one of the countries that is ready to host such an event as it failed four times in the past. «I'd be surprised (if Morocco does not put in a bid), but I think they will», said Pinnick adding that during his visit to Rabat last week to attend a Caf symposium he noticed that the north African kingdom «can host the world. They are very hospitable people, there is a good network of roads and have practically everything,» the Nigeria Football Federation president added. «This weekend they are hosting the French Super Cup - between Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco - they've hosted the Club World Cup (in 2013 and 2014), they've hosted practically everything», he added. The Royal Federation has not announced for the moment its will to set a bid for hosting the 2026 World cup. For the record, Morocco has applied in the past for hosting the World Cup in 1994, 1998, 2006 and 2010.
