Germany's Muslim MPs voted on Friday in favor of same-sex marriage in the Bundestag parliament, the Independent reports. 393 voted for the improvement of «Marriage for all», a measure that was criticized by Angela Merkel who announced before that : «Marriage is between a man and a woman.» According to the same source that Green Party which «launched rainbow confetti into the chamber when the result was announced, have since confirmed that the party has four Muslim lawmakers – Cem Özdemir, Ekin Deligöz, Özcan Mutlu and Omid Nouripour – who approved the legislation». The draft law calling for legalizing same sex marriage reached the upper house of the parliament in 2015. It should be signed and approved by the president around the 7th of July. 226 MPs voted against the draft law.
