On the sidelines of GITEX Africa, TAMWILCOM announced a strategic partnership with Flat6Labs, a major player in startup acceleration in the MENA region. This initiative follows the collaboration established in December 2023 between TAMWILCOM and the International Finance Corporation (IFC), aimed at supporting innovative young companies in Morocco. The joint program will target startups operating in high-potential sectors such as AgriTech, FinTech, CleanTech, Health, and AI. It will offer structured support and financing assistance, with a clear objective: to facilitate access to venture capital funding. «This program marks a new step in our support for Moroccan tech companies», highlights Hicham Zanati Serghini, CEO of TAMWILCOM. «Flat6Labs' expertise will enable startups to better structure themselves to attract investors». For David Tinel, IFC's representative in the Maghreb, this initiative reflects the World Bank Group's commitment to encouraging sustainable growth driven by the private sector. Flat6Labs will handle the design and deployment of the program, with the mission to strengthen startups' readiness for fundraising. «It's in our DNA to help high-impact startups grow both nationally and internationally», states Yehia Houry, Chief Programs Officer of Flat6Labs. This partnership illustrates a shared desire to structure a competitive Moroccan entrepreneurial ecosystem, aligned with the Kingdom's ambitions for innovation.
