The Moroccan men's futsal team has climbed one spot to reach sixth place in the world rankings. On the women's side, Morocco made a remarkable leap of 18 places, according to the latest rankings published by FIFA on Friday. Despite losing 7.6 points since the last ranking in October 2024, Morocco advanced in the standings due to Kazakhstan's drop to seventh place, with a loss of 60.91 points. With 1468.4 points, Morocco continues to lead the African rankings, followed by Egypt (37th), Libya (46th), South Africa (49th, up 2), and Angola (58th). In the global top 5, Brazil remains in first place, holding a lead of more than 100 points over Portugal. Spain (3rd, up 1) has overtaken Argentina (4th, down 1), while Iran (5th, up 1) and Morocco (6th, up 1) also moved up, pushing Kazakhstan down to 7th. Additionally, Poland (19th, up 3) and Armenia (20th, up 11) have entered the top 20 for the first time. Beyond Armenia, several teams have made gains of more than 10 places since October, including Bosnia and Herzegovina (36th, up 12), Andorra (55th, up 13), Latvia (60th, up 11), and Greece (88th, up 19). In the women's category, Morocco's 18-place jump represents one of the most significant advances in the latest FIFA women's futsal rankings. Now ranked 47th globally, the Moroccan women's team also tops the African rankings, followed at a distance by Senegal, ranked 78th (+753 points).
