Cruises between Algeciras and Tangier resumed on Friday after strong westerly winds caused cancellations and delays the previous day, Spanish media reported. The high-speed vessels of Armas Trasmediterránea and Baleària, as well as Baleària's conventional ferry, are now operating normally following an improvement in weather conditions. Meanwhile, crossings between Tarifa and Tangier City remain suspended due to ongoing adverse weather. On Thursday, severe weather forced the cancellation of multiple crossings through the Strait, with wind gusts exceeding 70 km/h and rough waves making navigation difficult. By Friday, wind speeds had dropped to an average of 22 km/h, with gusts ranging between 30 and 35 km/h.
