The strong floods caused by heavy rain in the commune of Had Boumoussa, a town in Fquih Ben Salah Province, swept away a child, and the search for his body is still ongoing. According to media sources, the 10-year-old child was on his way to school when he fell into a raging water stream, and no one was able to save him. Royal Gendarmerie and Civil Protection officers, supported by local authorities, arrived at the scene and began search operations for the missing child. This tragic incident occurred on the same day that the city of Berkane witnessed a similar accident, where a 9-year-old girl, who fell into a sewage canal along with her father (who was rescued earlier), was swept away after heavy rainwater flooded one of the open manholes. Her body was found late last night.
