Snowfall and heavy thunderstorms are expected on Thursday in several provinces of Morocco, according to the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM). Snowfall ranging from 5 to 15 cm is forecast at elevations above 1,600 meters between 9 AM and 6 PM in the provinces of Al Haouz, Azilal, Midelt, Tinghir, Beni Mellal, Ouarzazate, Taroudant, Ifrane, and Boulemane, the DGM announced in an orange-level alert bulletin. Additionally, heavy thunderstorms producing 30 to 50 mm of rainfall, accompanied by hail, are expected between 10 AM and 4 PM in the provinces of Fès, Moulay Yacoub, and Taounate. From 1 PM to 7 PM, this weather phenomenon will also affect the provinces of Chefchaouen, Al Hoceïma, Oujda-Angad, Taourirt, Guercif, Berkane, Driouch, Nador, Jerada, and Boulemane, according to the same source.
